5 STAR Readers Favourite Award – Reviewed by Alma Boucher

Payback is an outstanding thriller by Izaz Khan. The plot was exciting and interesting. The story is fast-paced and jam-packed with action. With all the twists and turns, there was never a dull moment. I was hooked from the start until the end. The description of the Aboriginal settlement was interesting, and I enjoyed reading about the skills Cory learned. The characters were brilliantly developed and authentic. My favorite was Cory. He embraced his Aboriginal heritage while being part of the white community. Despite the horrible crime that was committed, Cory still fought for the man involved to be given a fair trial and punishment. The story was brilliantly written, and some of the events were described in detail. It held my attention throughout and exceeded my expectations.
